How It All Started
Welcome to Fitness With Ashima — where discipline meets compassion, and real change begins.
I’m Ashima Gera, an Ex–Indian Air Force Officer and now a globally certified fitness and nutrition coach. My journey from the uniform to the fitness industry has been shaped by grit, high-performance training, and an unwavering commitment to helping people transform their bodies and lives.
My Journey: From the Forces to Fitness
Serving 15 years in the Indian Air Force was one of the most defining phases of my life. I underwent some of the toughest military bootcamps and combat-level physical training — experiences that taught me resilience, mental toughness, and the power of pushing beyond limits.
I am also a high-altitude trained athlete, having trained at elevations of 11,000 ft, where every breath requires extraordinary strength and every movement demands exceptional endurance. This foundation built my understanding of performance, stamina, and the true potential of the human body.
In 2019, I transitioned into the world of professional fitness coaching with a mission to bring the same discipline, structure, and science-backed training to everyday individuals — especially women — who want to reclaim their health, strength, and confidence.
My Coaching Experience
Since 2019, I have coached and transformed hundreds of clients across different age groups from teenagers to senior citizens, fitness levels, and backgrounds.
Many of them were dealing with:
- Obesity
- PCOS & hormonal imbalances
- Metabolic diseases such as thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, and early-stage diabetes
- Postpartum weight challenges
- Sedentary lifestyle-related issues
Through personalized programming, structured nutrition habits, and a disciplined yet empathetic approach, I’ve helped them reclaim their energy, improve lifestyle markers, lose fat sustainably, and build long-term fitness habits.

My coaching blends military discipline, science-backed fitness, and emotionally intelligent support. Every program I design carries the essence of my training background — structured, result-oriented, and focused on building both physical and mental strength.
